Czech home furniture company LD Seating has emerged to meet the needs of customers from all over the world with the launch of the exquisite FollowMe line of chairs. The 30-year-old company has undergone a subtle but significant evolution, maintaining a family tradition of collaborating with designers around the world. The FollowMe collection combines decades of manufacturing expertise with the latest technology, cutting-edge creative expression and handcrafted precision.
Chair manufacturer LD Seating was founded in Bošković in 1993 and is now being passed on to the second generation of the family. Thirty years of knowledge continues in the production process – from the body structure to the interior – but now the collections are realized in collaboration with international designers such as Andreas Krob, Orlandini Design, Martin Ballendat, Baldanzi & Novelli and Martin Fauré. Up to 400 chairs are produced daily. Each of them is versatile and convenient, suitable for various conditions, be it a coworking center, school, medical facility, hotel or private home.
The new chapter of the company is reflected in the design of the FollowMe series, where every aspect is thought out down to the millimeter. This technically sophisticated, perfectly fitted task chair took four years to develop. Designer Andreas Krob focused on innovative backrests that respond flexibly to the user’s every movement. Another notable feature is the raised seat, which helps people maintain an S-curve in their spine while sitting without paying much attention to their posture.
The FollowMe chair has an aluminum structure that can be polished or painted black, the back is covered in mesh material, and the front can be upholstered in gray or black knitted fabric. The model is presented in two standard armrest options – fixed aluminum or adjustable plastic, as well as a special version for gamers with a red finish.
In addition to FollowMe, LD Seating also has other lines of task chairs such as the Arcus and Trivi chairs, both of which have received Red Dot awards. The distinctive Arcus arc, designed by designer Martin Ballendat, was to be the centerpiece of the first sketch. Viewed from the side, the back forms a classic curved S-shape with pronounced lordosis and little shoulder support. This S-shaped line and arc blend seamlessly together to create a feminine design language.
Another Red Dot award-winning chair, Trivi, was designed by Martin Faure to celebrate the simple beauty of metal and wood. This project proves that a revolutionary shape is not a requirement for success, as long as the quality of materials and workmanship is taken into account. Using sophisticated technology, the brand creates furniture that is thin, durable, soft and pleasant thanks to its tactile texture.
By introducing sophisticated technology, furniture retailers can produce products of the highest quality.
